I have had a similar experience with "big" publications. I've had about 5 or 6 stories turned down from The Ascent. I've now managed to be regularly accepted into Mind Cafe but the most of my "success" comes from smaller publications such as Books Are Our Superpower. Interesting food for thought, isn't it?
