I think subject matter has a big part to play in the difficulty of a book so it was important to include.

A Tale of Two Cities has been one of my favourite books I read this year — because it taps into that feeling of uncertainty that we have come to know so well. And also, I find classics strangely comforting too. Glad that Lolita worked out for you in the end — it’s definitely a tough read for all reasons.
